John Hannyngton Ceramics is based in North Norfolk. Visitors are welcome by appointment and commissions are welcome.

My work has two very distinct styles, and I find clay both magical and miraculous. When I am throwing, the challenge is to control the clay to achieve the shapes and elegance I am striving for. When I am hand building, I am happy to let the clay be more independent, resulting in textured surfaces, natural cracks and variations from the inside to the outside of the piece.
